Turtleneck-Trend To Tick.

The turtleneck is honestly one of our favs from this seasons catwalks. A trend that will help you keep cosy over the winter, without adding bulky layers. Yes, yes please! This look works with loads of layers. At Carolina Herrera (Left), a nipped in waist gave a nod to the ladylike trends that are have been coming around along with this seasons skirt line of choice, knee length. A heavier look at Donna Karan (Middle) with a double breasted coat over a turtle neck gives more an androgynous feel. This feel was also seen at J.Crew (Right) but with a more accessorized look. We love the cap with a chic clutch, such an unusual contrast! The high shine top also hits the right notes for this seasons trends. Styled with an off the shoulder jacket they have the right balance between masculine and ladylike. Thumbs up here!     It’s no secret that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are up there with all our favorite style icons, especially if we are bringing out our dark side... The Row, their label, was sporting the turtleneck at their A/W2013 show matched with tailored pieces in monochrome (the easiest pallet to work with this season) and some quirky shoes, the overall style is super wearable- and wantable.     Our winner of the day though is possibly the most simple way to wear a turtleneck. At Swiss label Akris’ A/W2013 catwalk, everything was grey, black or navy with the focus being on soft but detailed tailored pieces and great shapes.
