There's a 23kg limit - what to take?
As I packed my bag for my upcoming holiday to Thailand I asked myself the age old question - how much make up is acceptable to take with me? I know it's going to be sauna hot so my make up will undoubtedly (horrible as it sounds) sweat off, but I also know I will be taking photos and instagramm-ing like crazy, so I want to look nice too. Ahh the problems of being a girly-girl who likes to travel to unbelievably hot climates. After debating for a while I narrowed down all my beauty products to the essentials, so thought I would share my top ten with you. Some are essential, some are more 'hey you're on holiday so you can get away with wearing this'! Check them out! Screen Shot 2013-08-12 at 14.15.50

As I'm fair-skinned my all time number 1 to take abroad is waterproof mascara! To all you girls with dark eyelashes naturally, I am eternally jealous of you!

My unpredictable, sometimes curly sometimes frizzy, hair needs some controlling on the beach. Even if I'm nearing my suitcase weight limit this product stays in, it is actually essential. I may not look like a model in my bikini, but hey, my hair can look half decent!

These IKRUSH sunglasses are so pretty and fun that I feel they are a holiday must-have. I would probably damage sunglasses this delicate at home, but on holiday I am much more careful with such things. And besides how cute will these look in a selfie on Instagram?

This is another one for the blonde girls like me. As I become more bronzed, unfortunately my eyebrows go the opposite way, they get lighter. It's very annoying. A dark eyebrow pencil keeps my brows looking normal as I bask in the sunshine.

Add a little extra colour to your cheeks with bronzer and look sunkissed from the first night of your holiday. Screen Shot 2013-08-12 at 14.17.15

This product is one of those, ahh I'm on holiday so may as well wear it ones! I would never wear glitter on my eyes (with the exception of my favourite night of the year, Halloween), but on holiday anything goes. If you are heading to an all-night rave, a beach party or, as I will be, a full moon party, embrace the fun make up out there and add bright colour to your face.

Yes it's boring and so 'mumsy', but sun tan lotion is an absolute essential. I never go lower than factor 30, as if I do I get the sunburn 'fear' and I can't stop worrying about it all day (I'm kind of a worrier in the sun). Hawaiin Tropic is my favourite brand because it smells like coconuts, so exotic!

Just as sun tan lotion is essential, so is after sun. And believe me, it won't feel like a chore using Hawaiin Tropic, it smells so good and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.

A bright lipstick is a major essential for me at all times, so of course I would take one on holiday with me. If you aren't going for a lot of other make up, a bright shade will glam up your look any time on holiday. And unlike mascara, lipstick doesn't run down your face if you sweat or jump in a pool! If it comes off, just reapply - easy!

My last recommendation to take away with you is a few bottles of bright nail polish.Unless you've paid to get your nails done professionally, I recommend changing your colour throughout your holiday, to make the most of all the great shades you have! I love Essie nail varnish and they have some amazing colours available!

Keep an eye out for the IKRUSH beauty collection which will be online soon, but until then these are my personal holiday favourites and recommendations!
